The paddling program makes SUPs and Kayaks available to members to use much like the Small Boat Fleet Program. As a member, you may purchase a monthly “Paddle Pass” and check out a SUP or kayak during the hours the office is open. Office staff will hand out paddles, leashes, gate card, a basic safety guide and PFDs, if needed and unlock the equipment from the rack. A method to develop after hour access is being devised for the future.
Monthly Paddle Passes are free for flag members and are $20 ($10 for a half month) for non-flag members. Hourly rental rates for guests of members are only $15 per hour. Paddlers are subject to a checkout our certification process that would include basic safety and navigation rules for paddlers.
As of this date, the club owns a 16’ Klepper two person Kayak, 2 two person, sit on top kayaks, 2 single person, sit on top kayaks and 4 Stand Up Paddleboards. We are currently looking to add another two person kayak and a single person kayak.
There are also a number of fun organized SUP and paddling events organized by the Race Committee and Kurmalliance such as the Super Bowl Charity Harbor Clean up, Poker Paddle, Marina Clean Up Days. See the Racing Page of the Club’s website for a full Calendar.
When you purchase a paddle pass, you will be given a code that will allow you to establish a user account and then reserve the kayaks and SUPs.
