| The women's organization is a very strong component of Santa Monica Windjammers Yacht Club. The purpose of the organization is to further women's enjoyment of yachting, promote activities for women within the Club and on the water; also, to enhance the quality of hospitallity at SMWYC. This organization is a very active and certainly a very integral and important part of our yacht club. We encourage all female members to join us in our activities as it is a fun way to get involved and meet people within the club. All women members in good standing belong to the Women of SMWYC. | |

| General Get Togethers: We hold a Get Together every quarter with a planned program of interest, food and entertaining happenings. Such events announced in Sea Sounds. |
Other Events: SMWYC Socials, Opening Day Reception, Crab Feast Dinner for the City of Hope, First Mates Cruise, Parking Lot Sale, Trim the Tree Party, Spark of Love (a Christmas toy drive for needy children) and our Annual Party. |

| Cathy Weden Memorial Trophy | For the woman who logs the most trips to Catalina on her own boat. |
| Joey Portz Memorial Cruising Trophy | For the women who do the most cruising on their own boats in local waters, one for sail and one for power. |
| Women of SMWYC Cruising Trophy | For the woman who does the most cruising in local waters on another member's boat. |
